walking to Expo Park today...
It has been a long time since I've felt like taking a walk. As I was walking, soaking in the sun and seeing life around me, I noticed the sky was very unsmoggy, and there were birds singing away. I saw two Gindo dogs tied up which were barking their fool heads at me as I passed by them. I usually take the bus to get to the Expo Park neighborhood but today I figured I'd walk since I had no other commitments for the day. Took me about an hour to get there and come back by foot.
When I got to Expo Park I tried to do some things I hadn't done there before like ride the Ferris Wheel, and go into the local library. I watched the kids going on the rides and was reminded of when my brother and I did that as teenagers. I almost cried standing there and hurridly went into the Expo store. I saw the bookmarks and got a couple. Then I walked over to the science part of the park and played with the finger biting fishes. It seems those little fish that I saw last time there got mighty big. One of the big ones tried to swallow my finger so I hastily withdrew my finger to safety. Then I walked back down by the river and saw that a lot of the river was still iced over from the colder days we had the beginning of last week. Discovered a baseball field with some nice park area to sit. I got close to my house and realized I hadn't had Galbi Tong in awhile but thought I'd save that for another day. Just bought some "need to cook" noodles and meatballs for a cozy dinner at home. After dinner I realized that the local coffee shop probably had wireless and raced down to get some free surfing in on the computer I borrowed from my fiancee. It was a good day.
