  ONE MORE WEEK!! I'm coming back to the USA for a short time to get married and see family and friends. Then off to Dongguk University to teach adults. No more kids acting up and no more parents telling me NOT to give their kids too much homework! No more hagwan silliness like changing curriculum every single month or making up do lesson plans on eighty different sheets of paper that have the same info on them but in different places!

I know there will be the bad side to university life which will be endless red tape and all the other professors trying to prove something to me which I'll never get for all their mind games they might play. Anyways...slowly getting excited about coming back home. Wedding planning almost over and wedding almost beginning...life is great!:-)

  FOUR MORE MONTHS.... Then I'm off to Seoul and a even brighter future...:-)

But my workplace just experienced one of the worst things a hagwan can go through...our ex coworker ran out on us back to Canada...complete shock to all of us...

But thankfully Koreans have powerful connections and we got a quick temp at the last minute...we have a month reprieve to find a permanent person.

Had a wonderful Chusak weekend...hiked like I've never hiked in a LONG time and it felt great! Charlie told me though that I looked like I was about to have a stroke or heart attack or both...my face was completely purple...

  I MADE A YEAR!!:-) Well, May 19th has come and went. But I did it! I made a year and this next upcoming one looks promising. I am going to get back into blogging now that things have settled down. I am discovering new bookstores and buying new books like there is no tomorrow!:-) But I was researching the Korean War and found this interesting site. If you know this already, bravo...if not, now you know.
